I spent a good 10 minutes laughing at her and explaining the difference to her. ohh momm! ahahahah :D

i got sick after shopping on black friday from 5AM-11:30AM lol T____T. my mom bought me apple juice as well. yaayy! been craving for apple juice like a child for the longest time! lol

Best birthday ever<3

soo i turned 18 almost 2 weeks ago and it was the bestt everr !! <3 celebrated it in various ways with my friends and family. i really can't ask for better friends !

11/11 (Veteran's Day): we had no school, so i wanted to celebrate it with my 5 close friends at Legal Seafoods, since i was turning legal hehe (x went with Sarah, Ve, Trung, Jennifer and Lena. the atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxing and the service was great lol. we were the only teenagers in there haha. i ordered shrimp and fries. it wasn't much but Legal Seafoods definitely did its job haha. it was soo goodd and fresh! "if it isn't fresh, it isn't legal" hehe. it was a good time and a nice experience eating there.

11/12 (my bday!): So i wanted to celebrate it with all my friends this time and inexpensively. So we had a little get together over Jennifer's house and we just ordered chinese food from New Jumbo Restuarant. it was fun and a good time eating and playing games together, such as Chubby Bunny and Big Taboo! and my friends surprised me by buying me the Dr. Dre Beats headphoness! i've been wanting them since summer and they fulfilled my wisshhh! i love themm soo muccchh! <3 and they work soo welll! i just utterly lovee itt! I don't think i can ever thank them enough. I appreciate them forever! after some people left, they brought out the coldstone cake! it was soo yummy! :D thankksss a bunchhh guyss <3

11/14 (saturday): this day i went to the Hong Kong #1 Buffet in Brockton with my family. my cousin got to come down for this so i was very grateful for that. I miss her after she moved. it was a good time and my brother bought me a cake from konditor meister! it was the first time i ever had cake at my birthday celebrations with my family. My cousin bought me the new Kate Voegele album and i've been wanting that for a long time also. i love all her songs on the album! my brother and sister bought me a new phone too and gave me a card. i loved their card the most, and how it said "Sister" on the front and had a cute little message inside. It made me really feel like i'm a part of the family since i'm always doing something wrong to make myself feel outkast. it was a very nice gift from them <3 i really love my family, no matter what happens <3

as for college, i'm like 90% done with my applications! I just need to stop slacking and finish my last 2 supplement essays for BU and Emerson and then i'm waiting for my teachers+guidance counselor to do the recommendations! hopefully they don't take too long. lol. i definitely wanna send them out before christmas break. i'm so excited! it's almost done and over with! :D

I came home at 10:45 PM tonight and saw a note left for me on the kitchen table. Both of my parents are sleeping:

" I left the pastries for you to eat, i just made them so it's really good. When you're done, put them in the refrigerator. -- Love Mom"

It's the little and simple things that my parents do for me that makes me realize how much they really care and love me. I always thought they were annoying but they just don't want me to get hurt and whatnot. I love them dearly, no matter how much i may complain about them or feel annoyed by them. They do so much for me<3

Who's John & Abigail?

So just recently i received a John & Abigail Adams scholarship for the MCAS in 10th grade lol. pretty neat! especially when i'm applying to 4 schools that the scholarship covers for. it's a full-tuition cover and i just have to worry bout dorming and books and stuff. It sorta relieves me a little because if i decide to go to those schools or whatever, i'm sort of all set. still in the process of my college applications. i must currently do my supplement essays for my schools. so much! T__T. i just want these to be done and over with lol. but yeahss, just trying to work hard in school to get good grades and whatnot. hopefully i'll have more opportunities like this in the near future! :D

my birthday is exactly one week from today. i'll be turning 18. yay! finally legal! i'm gonna apply to every job possible! puahahah hehe (x

My beddd!

Omgosh i was leaning over my bed to find my pencil and my bed, having already collapsed the other night and lopsided, looking for my pencil made it worse. So it collapsed even MORE. now my bed looks very obviously lopsided. and now i have to go wake my mom so she can help me remove the mattress and fix it. and i still didn't find my pencil yet. FML. -________-

Sooo ... after assembling my bed back together at 12:15 AM, i discovered my bed is a monster. O___O. it ate my love notes from Ve and my scrunchis. I was wondering where that note went! Luckily, my parents and I both slayed my bed monster and i got my pencil and love note from Ve back. yaayyy! (x

When I say random, i mean RANDOM

the leaves are falling, the weather's getting colder and i'm not used to it lol. i rather wear tanks, shorts and flipflops than bulk up.

sooo i was coming out of my house today in the rain and darkness and i heard a cat continuously meowing, sounding like it was stuck somewhere and needed help. but unforntunately, due to the wind/rain/and darkness, i was not able to spot where the cat was. ssooo ... i just left the house and went to school. i felt bad lol =/

October Youth Spotlight Recognition

October Youth Spotlight Recipient: Phuong Diep from Dorchester is this month’s youth spotlight recipient. Phuong is an active member of the Vietnamese American Civic Association. Phuong started as a volunteer at the V.A.C.A and then quickly became involved with the girls’ mentoring program. She also serves as a peer leader and a role model for many teens. She shows great dedication to her neighborhood and has proven her leadership skills and commitment to the young people of Dorchester. Phuong is a senior at John D. O’Bryant. Blue Man Group has donated two show tickets for Phuong as a prize! Congratulations Phuong and keep up the great work!

haha. i totally forgot about that, until Maha fbed me and congratulated me with that pasted ^^. My boss and supervisor wrote a letter of recommendation to the 'Youth Spotlight' thing and i got it! it's on bostonyouthzone.com under the newsletter link. well, i just checked and they didn't update it on their website yet, but they've emailed it to everyone already. soo yeahhss. madd coolll! haha. imma see if i can use that for college lol like scholarships or something! teeeheee! mayybee lol :D soo excitedd bout this!

A Trip Unexpected

So yesterday the 23rd, i was debating whether or not to go to the Posse Scholarship interview. What was stopping me was the fact that i was still sick and yesterday i didn't feel all too good in school already. So i was thinking 'alright, i'll just go then since it's a good opportunity and i feel like i'm going to regret it later." So i ate some wanton soup as my dinner and throat reliever with Lena and then got a little lost to get to Posse. Once i got there, i saw Vanna, Phi, William and Michael there. yay! friends! lol. plus i got to see some old friends from the program Urban Scholars that i used to go to and it was totally cool. there was probably like .. 100+ of us? in the room. i was the only OB kid hehe (: but yeahss, every activity we did was fun and interactive. got to meet some very outgoing and intelligent people :D

So first off, the sign-in lady lied to me. i asked her if the interview required any screaming or noise-making. she said no. there was LOTS of screaming and noise-making. lots of interactive questions to be asked. i tried my best to speak and scream as much as i can but eventually, i lost it. which sucked because no matter how much i wanted to answer the questions they were asking, i couldn't cause of my voice, so i think me not communicating so much cost me that scholarship, which again, SUCKS. bad timing to be sick. Secondly, it was FREAKING COLD in that room. i mean i wasn't the only one that was cold, but me being sick, i felt FREEZING. 3rdly, it definitely didn't help that the interview was 4 hours long. i mean, it was fun and all, it didn't feel like 4 hours at all but it wasn't helping my well-being.

Once the meeting was over, i went to CVS with Vanna, Phi and Michael. William went a different way. they were very concerned about me since i was already feeling dizzy and my skin was burning hot. I bought Nyquil and the coughdrops Jesse bought me when i was in Vegas. went on the train still feeling dizzy; could barely go up the stairs. got home with my dad yelling at me cause i looked like a ghost and fever was 102. Soo .. my parents took me to the hospital. -__-

At the emergency room waiting, waiting for them to call me in. called me in and waited some more after i changed, mostly for my lab results. gave me an xray, flu test, and stuck an IV up my arm =( it looked so disturbing and i used like 1 & half saline bags! I think that's alot. waited, waited waited and fell asleep. i was there from 9PM and they finally let me go at 2AM. i was negative for strip throat, flu, and my chest xray was fine and they didn't know how i got a fever lol. So went home took some more meds and now my fever went down. hopefully i can get better for this weekend since i have a Bottom Line meeting that i refuse to miss. but in the process of getting well again and hopefully i didn't miss that much in school =) this is my first long entry, yay! hehe.

2010!

hehe so like everyone said, we're finally seniors! this year is going to be sooo stressful! yet very fun at the smae time! cant wait for prom, senior banquet, find out what college i'm going to, all that good stuff! :D this year will be veryyy bussyy, trying to coordinate some things but i'll manage (: here's my schedule after having made some changes!

i'm trying to find a temporary job until i receive an application for Carney hospital. i'm going to apply to all of the clothing stores and see what happens later lol. i mean, even though some of em requires 18, i'm ALMOST 18, it counts for something, right? lol O___o

I <3 Nincompoop!

Sooo .. today my best friend nhi left to go back to vegas at 7:56 PM on Jetblue airlines lol. sarah and i practically got to see her for the entire summer and it was nice being able to spend so much time with her. I haven't spent so much time with her in years. we've known each other for almost 6 years now and its been great growing up together and still be great friends. I remember when she told me she was gonna move to vegas, and i didn't believe her and she actually moved =/ and people telling me that i'm naive for being best friends with nhi still but we obviously was able to make it work despite the distance. i love her and sarah very much and the strong relationship that the three of us share. i can only imagine how things will be when we're actually entering college and into the adult life.

So i have a new blue ipod nano now thanks to nhi. i felt very bad because it's so expensive but she said "i bought it because i love you and you're my best friend." almost made me cry but instead she cried haha. but omgosh i appreciate her so much for the ipod and in general. i love her very verryyy mucho for everything she's done for me and all the times she's been there for me. i miss and love her very much already and hope that she will be back soon <3

Freeee!

Soooo just recently i got my contacts. but the ones i've been using don't really fit me so i'm waiting on these special contact lens that my doctor ordered for me. they're cooollsss. and i just got my braces off too after having them on for 3 years! now i just love smilinggg. i TOTALLY love my pearly whites! <3 its so slippery brushing my teeth and i don't have to worry about having food stuck in my braces anymore! i'm gonna come back to school looking fresh and new! i can't wait for senior year! :D

I want nobody nobody but you!

I went to the Jonas Brothers concert today at the TD Banknorth and it turned out to be more fun and better than i expected. in the end, i ended being happy that i went. it was my first concert experience and i sat pretty close to the stage for 90 bucks. well, technically $140 since my cousin paid $50 bucks for me. it was very cool and unique with how the Jonas Brothers design the stage. Jordin Sparks opened for JB and this new band called Honor Society, which is like a pop-rock band. they're pretty good too. Jordin Sparks was pretty good. and then Wonder Girls opened for JB too! it was unexpected i thought they were gonna perform in NY instead. Before the concert, i already got to see Wonder Girls outside and they were trying to teach the fans to do the Nobody dance, which was the song they performed too. we saw JYP too! it was soo cool, it definitely made my concert experience and money more worth it. for the JB, i ended up not knowing half of their songs lol so it was awkward at times standing there lol. the colorful flashing lights and the technology was soo cooolll! like at one point for the Love Bug song, it was raining in a circle and the water coming down was heart shaped, the JB logo, the outline of the JB, etc. but it was soo cooll and funn!

In the beginning when we were waiting too, people were sending texts to this number and it would show on the big screen, and someone proposed to this girl and it said "Kara, will you marry me?" it was the cutest and sweetest thing EVER! i wish them the best of luck! (= there was alot of screaming white girls. me&my cousin were one of the few asians that went and i don't remember seeing mi dengs lol. despite my lack of interest in the JB, it was a fun concert and Joe was cute lol. Nick is cute too but eh all young lol. my camera died during the concert! i was so mad because my camera always dies at the wrong time, but thats my fault for not charging it lol. but i shall steal pics and videos from my cousin to put on fb lol. but yeahhsss, fun fun. glad i got to meet Wonder Girls! :D

Back from Vegas!

ssoo as you guys know, i'm back lol :D since a week ago. it was a very interesting and fun trip. although there's some places i didn't get to go see, it's alright. i'm happy that i got to see my other best friend nhi over there. it's very hot over there! over the 100s! O___O. its all mountains and dirt and rocks and cactuses. lol. this trip to vegas made me appreciate boston alot more. the fact that we have free healthcare (they have to pay for every medical thing), better minimum wage (their's is $6.25) our tax is cheaper (their's is 8%) andd we have trees and flowers and stuff, they dont. although the weather here sorta sucks lol.


met a couple of cool people, those that i spent my time there with, and those who i met once and never saw again (cute boys hehehe). those whom i met and chilled with was carol and elisio, ray, jesse, and mark. those are the people i hung out with most of my time there and some other people whom i met and chilled just once was paulina and mary (ray's gf). all nhi's friends lol. they're nice people, except for one or 2 of em lol. ray's a cutie, too bad he's short though lol. eye candy! and nhi's bf jesse is very nice, funny, and strange lol. fun to hang out with. we spent alot of our time at The Strip, where the casinos are. we went to alottt of hotels, yet i wish we could've went to more lol.

surprisingly, i had some drama there. i assumed that the girl named carol that sarah and i were hanging out with stole my 70 bucks. one night i lost 70 bucks and i didnt know how exactly because it was in my wallet in my bag and i was sure i didnt take it out. i was very mad. a week later, i lost 12 bucks the same way, but having met paulina that same night, she lost money too. thenn that same night when carol slept over paulina's house, her little sister ends up losing money. suspicious much? so paulina and carol began to accuse each other of stealing money from each other since carol claimed to have lost money too. turns out, paulina went through carol's bag to find my money crumpled up and her money. something like that, idk. after that i concluded that it only made sense that carol stole my 70 bucks since she held my stuff for like a little bit that night and yeahss. sucks. =/


andd thennnnn! nhi's mom sorta began to get annoyed of us too =/ she caught us up one night and was like mad at us and said how "i'm gonna call your mom tomorrow and tell her that i don't want you here anymore." we were never bothering her though and she found out wer were still awake that moment she opened the door. after that it was just awkward. it made me a little happy to finally leave so we wont annoy her anymore, but it was sad. we cried when we left. nhi will be back in time for our graduations next year though so yayy! :D


lol me and sarah were called "the bostonians" pretty much the whole time. everytime nhi's friends were on the phone with someone it was always like "i'm hanging out with the bostonians" haha. we sound so foreign lol. and then people called me "phunky pho" and Raygay called me "pho khing thit" orr pho khong thit in viet, meaning pho with no meat. but the kid couldnt pronounce the "khong" so he pronounced it like "King" LOL mad cuutee haha :D i miss them lol they were cool. lots of food places there they have that we dont. like SONIC! <3 Jack in the Box was gross, Raising Canes chicken fingers was alrighty and chyeahhss. i'll always love boston food better. but damns, Sonic. they need to build that here haha xD

Yay!

So i finally went back to Wrentham's to exchange my shoes. and yes they're both size 7 and i exchanged them for a navy blue one =O so now i'm way beyond satisfied and relieved :D

So yesterday was the OB 09` graduation at BU. Personally, i felt like the graduation was very touching, seeing my long-time friends and the ones i met and got closer to walk across that stage and move on with the next chapter of their life. I guess cause our class and 09` is only 1 year apart, so we feel closer. It was sad seeing them, but sad in a good way, a sense of feeling proud and happy for them, yet sad for myself cause they won't be around anymore to have fun with. I know i'm definitely going to miss them, and i just can't wait till it'll be our turn to get our diplomas and throw our caps in the air celebrating (=

Finals this upcoming week! i hope i do well. I know i'm going to fail Precal and Physics finals. but i don't care, all that matters is the final grade and i know i'll pass lol.

9 more days till my departure to Las Vegas! I'm SOOO EXCITED! :D its about timee lol.

I'll be getting my braces off this summer! I'm excited for that too! i've had enough of them for the past 3 years, its about time! No more cankersores, i can eat whatever without struggling, blahs! FREEEE! :D

UGH!

Alright, so I went to Wrentham today with Lena, her older sister+husband. Her older sister is pretty nice. I was really excited to go to Wrentham since it's been awhile. I went into Journey's and bought these Vans for 20 bucks. i was really hesitant to buy them at first since i'll be spending money and because i don't wear red alot. but i was happy with them later on. So i got home after hanging out with Lena and stuff in DT, looked at the shoes, and tried them on. the left one felt tighter than the right one and when i walked, the right one slipped off. i was like "hmm .. maybe it's just me, or they way i'm walking" but i was curious and thinking "how am i gonna figure out the sizes of these? when i look at them, they BETTER be the same size." the left one was size 7, and the right was size 8. i FREAKED OUT. "WTFFFFFFF!?! how the hell am i gonna exchange this?!" and then i realized i lost the receipt. FML FML FML! T___T. imma go back there again with Lena and try to exchange it. Them people BETTER let me exchange it without my receipt or else i'm sueing -___-.

O___O ..

Today i attempted to go to the library near my house and try to get some work done for history for that 44 presidents crap. i brought my laptop with me hoping that i can access the internet through it and EPIC FAIL. i got pissed. and throughout the whole time, having being forced to log on to THEIR computers with limited time, i got 2 AND A HALF PRESIDENTS DONE. woo. hoo. -_____-. mad pissed. i have alot of studying and work to do before school starts again and i cant concentrate at home. =/ sigh.

So I went to Porter's today with the coworkers and our boss Tien. it was her treat hehe, we love you tien! :D but omgosh, you already know from ve's blog, that she fainted. scared the living hell outta me and lena! O___O but yeahs, entering the escalator she already was wobbly, and then going up, she banged her head against the railing once, and thought she would be fine since she got up. but no, she just collapsed and almost banged her head AGAIN, but i stopped her and she just slipped out of my arms and me and lena sorta dragged her out (sorryy! =X) but at least it was the top of the escalator. people were really caring, insisting ve to sit, or to call medical help. but apparently she was fine again, and that freaked me out too. like dot, all fainted and blacked out and then she's gonna get up and walk normally like nothing happened? lol O__o. but i'm glad Ve's okay now. We love you Ve and we got you if that ever happens again! but hopefully it wont. lol =)

Tomorrow i will be going to Wrentham Outlets with Lena. i cant wait! it's been awhile. i KNOW i'm gonna end up buying something, when i should be saving for Las Vegas T___T. Speaking of, Sarah and I have 2 and a half weeks till departure! so excited! :D

OB has officially been shut down for 7 days! and BLS are going back to school 2morrow LOL. oh wellsss ! they had their chance haha. Next is BLA! O__O they should just end school for the rest of the year already lol. first snow days, now swine. this is too much lol.

So my dad is so selfish sometimes that it annoys and pisses me and my mom off. I feel bad for my mom sometimes. But sheesh he's so old fashioned. he's the "i'm-the-man-in-this-house-so-you-have-to-listen-to-me" type of guy; UHH NO. definitely didn't step out of the Vietnam 1990s era yet. we are in America in the 21st century where women can wrestle and pummel a guy to pulp. So no dad, we don't HAVE to listen to you. we have our own rights -__-.
